๐Ÿ“š Foundation Principles (from APP eBook + WWTD v3)

The philosophical foundations that need to be integrated โ€” currently missing from all SOPs

C1
Rendering Thesis
Reality is rendered. Intention + Observation + Right Action.
C2
Wong Principle
95% of a backlog is invalid. Challenge before optimizing.
C3
Counterfeit Productivity
80% of PM activity corrupts the render.
C4
Perception Engineering
Cycle Results = sales presentation, not status dump.
C5
PM as Observer
Auto-pilot. Observe, don't manage. Let small bad things happen.
C6
Scope Malleability
Scope is malleable; customer intent is not.
S1
Projection Breaker
Is this data real or projected?
S2
Empirical Skeptic
What's the empirical basis? Claims guilty until verified.
S3
Single-Minded Proposition
One idea per communication. Lead with the SMP.
S4
Reason for Being
WHY before HOW. Team needs purpose before commitment.
S5
Efficacy โ†’ Efficiency
Right problem before right solution. Tacoma vs Raptor.
S6
Comfort Exception
Conscious rule-break. Name it, reason it, accept risk.
S7
Profit Tracker
Perceived value vs opportunity cost. Margin doubling model.
T1
Hexagon Continuous
6 success factors tracked throughout, not just at endpoints.

All 14 principles documented in one place

๐Ÿ“„ Single Reference Document

ops/docs/app-wwtd-foundations.md
The complete philosophical foundation. Single source of truth.
Each SOP links here for full context. Maintained in one place, no drift.

Each SOP gets: ~100 word principle block + unique contextual note + link to reference doc

๐Ÿ”ง Pipeline SOPs โ€” Where Principles Land

โš™๏ธ How the Three-Layer Pattern Works (per SOP)

1
Universal Principle Block
~100 words, identical in every affected SOP. Sets the foundation โ€” like the existing See It Cycle block. Short enough to scan in 5 seconds.
2
Contextual Application
Unique per SOP. HOW this specific stage applies the foundation. e.g., Product Analysis gets "challenge backlog validity before analyzing" while Auto-Report gets "this is a sales presentation."
3
Reference Link
Link to ops/docs/app-wwtd-foundations.md for the full philosophical context. One source of truth. No duplication. No drift.

๐Ÿšซ What's NOT Changing

No new routes. All principles integrate into existing SOPs triggered by existing routes.
No new pipeline stages. Wong Principle is a step WITHIN product analysis, not a separate stage.
19 SOPs untouched. Engineering SOPs (CI, merge, deployment, PR review, etc.) don't need these foundations.
Dropped by Tony: Cycle of Choice, Decision Tree, Anti-Pattern Framework, Transformation Layer. Saved: Boredom-Inducing Trust.
